Default Training tips?

Hi everyone
Does anyone have any tips for training? I have had 4 hamsters before but my latest "Barry" he is use to me that he will come out of his cage onto my flat held hand however he will not let me cuddle or pick him up and will just fly out my hands,I am on the floor when doing this so no harm comes to him.I have just made a big enclosure so I can let him run around me but he does not seem like he wants to be cuddled. My other hamsters before always let me hold and cuddle them.
Any ideas thanks.

How old is he & how long have you had him now?
Some hams are never really cuddly but if he's young he may just have too much energy to want to be cuddled just yet, if he'll climb on to your hands then that's really good, you can begin by just stroking his back gently & briefly while he's out in his play area, take it slow & he'll get more used to handling & with time may enjoy cuddles.

Thanks for reply, Barry is only young we have had him about three weeks and he was with another hamster when my son bought him so he would have been less than twelve weeks then.I am hoping like you said that it is because he is still young, he does have a lot of energy.

The best tip I can offer is Time and Patience and regular contact, let Barry come to you in his own time don't rush him, once he is used to your scent then things will probably progress quite quickly
