Meet Newt (AKA Custard's Victor)

Just introducing (or rather re-introducing!) our lovely new baby boy, collected from Custard Hamstery today. He travelled very well, sleeping in the pet carrier on the train journey. He is now in the Barney cage, after having a good explore. He is lovely and hand tame and seems quite active and confident.

So meet Newt (little boy has just seen the Fantastic Beasts film).

He found his sand potty, kicked some sand around then started digging next to the potty and has disappeared down a tunnel under the Fitch

Hello and welcome to the gorgeous Newt! It sounds like a Harry Potter inspired name! He does look as though he likes his new home. So glad he travelled well with you.

We are excited Big boy reckoned he wasn't bothered, but was talking and singing to him all the way back from the station and came up with Newtus Hamsterus. He comments that this hamster is much faster than Charlie was (I pointed out Charlie was quite old towards the end). Big man likes him as well. We seem to be calling him Newtie at the moment. He seems to like digging.
