Re: 31 days of May
The happy wabbits are all racing about in the garden at the moment.
I am going to tell you about a recent acquisition. I was looking on gumtree (mainly to view cute animals) and saw the sweetest little smooth haired
golden hamster!
The advert said that the child had become afraid of him (due to him nibbling her) and despite the father's best efforts to hand tame him the hamster did it again, not a bite but just a gentle nibble. It was enough to put the girl off completely and they agreed that they would find him a good home.
He kindly delivered him to me and took photos of his new set up, clearly pleased that he would be well looked after and have plenty of space.
He is fearless and totally happy to be stroked. Such soft velvet fur. Anyone want to see pics?
He enjoyed some playtime in his nice run (don't do what Marty did Robin);
Oooo hay that looks interesting;
Having a wash on his play pen wheel (have taken it out now for repairs);
More tomorrow. Sorry that the pics are so blurry. It seems to be something that happens a lot with my camera (not my fault at all of course).

Re: 31 days of May
Do you even have to ask? Of course I want to see! He looks so adorable - that second photo makes me just want to scoop him up in my hands! You did a very good thing, taking him in, and I'm sure he will repay you with lots of <3
Also, the pictures don't look blurry to me!

Re: 31 days of May
Aww thanks AprilPearl and Coco61. He is so beautiful and confident and has clearly come from a lovely home.
He is a joy and wakes up every morning for cucumber, corriander or carrot and some scatter fed harry hanster mix.

Re: 31 days of May
How exciting, congrats! He seems a bit mischevious to me ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif) but perhaps he'll turn out to be just a sweet and calm one. Don't know if I missed this or not, but does he have a name?

Re: 31 days of May
Drago he is called Red Robin or Robin for short. He is such a live wire compared to my fluffy male syrians.
Thank you Cypher. There are millions of hamsters out there needing homes, he stood out partly because of his looks but also because the advert was clearly posted by someone who cared about him and wasnt just trying to make money or getting rid.
Tiny pic are currently playing up so I will be back later with more pics of Red Robin.

Re: 31 days of May
AprilPearl my mother thought up the name for him!
Thank you Thin Lizzy.
It looks like tinypic is working again now so I will post some more pics of the little sweetie.
He seems to enjoy looking round his cage.
Searching for brekky;
Standing up looking alert;
Digging in his fitch bedding;
His new sin house (guinea pig size); (too small for gps)
Hello hamster central;
