Last night I went to a pet store and fell in love with a little "female" (haven't double checked that claim yet) Russian hamster. She came home with me and I haven't come up with a name for her yet. The name I'm considering most is Oreo, but I want to hear your ideas!

Oreo would definitely suit her colouring, so go for it if you'd like. I really like Piper for a female hamster, so that's my suggestion.

Okay, I've finally decided on her name, Piper. I loved the name Piper, and I really think it suits her. Thanks so much for the name suggestions! I didn't really want to name her Oreo because Oreos are cookies and you eat cookies, I didn't want to give my dog any ideas.

This is called evasive hamster name management. I was almost going to name Titania Sophia, after my (still alive) friend, but then my mom noted that then I would have to say "Sophia died," one day, which would've costed a lot of confusion.
Piper's a really good name too!
