Finally a good water bottle company!!!
Lixit is selling all kinds of bottles. I bought a bottle at the pet store where I bought Paris. So since I don't want to make another hour drive I ordered 4 bottles from e- bay. Hopefully they will work great!
The bottle I bought is fantastic so I need more back up bottles. I payed $23 for the 4 oz bottle size...
The company is called Lixit, Yay!

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
Lixit is a very common company, even in pet stores!Any standard bottle will have the occasional drip whether you believe it or not. However, that doesn't mean the bottles are bad, since it pretty much always happens. They should work just fine though

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
There aren't any Lixit bottles anywhere in this city, which is fairly big.
I have 9 water bottles that don't drip & gives out normal water supply. None of mine drip at all, thankfully
But I need some back up bottles that work. So no they don't all drip, until recently, past 6 mo

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
I gave up on bottles last year. Bowls force me to change the water out more, and they don't drip. But I'll look into it the next time I go pet supply shopping, thanks!

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
I love lixit bottles! They're very high quality and I love that they're glass and thus cannot be chewed by overenthusiastic little hams. As mentioned above though, all bottles drop, even if it doesn't appear that way. The metal spout will expand slightly (as it is metal) adding new water can make this happen too, and cause dripping. It's more about getting the least drippy bottle. I personally also love the novalek oasis bottle as it barely drips, has a chew gaurd, and has very tough plastic

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
Lixit apparently has a variety of bottles. I have a glass bottle ( which drips) from Kaytee. I don't use it right now but maybe in future with chewers.
I ordered the 4 oz plastic bottles. If you fill the bottles to the very top then twist lid on, not tight, the bottle shouldn't drip.
Drago. Haven't heard of the Novalek oasis bottle, interesting

All Living ThingsĀ® Small Animal Bell Bottle Value Pack | small pet Food & Water Accessories | PetSmart
This style(what I'd think Drago is talking about as well)was highly recommended at one point in the US I'm not sure if things are different, but I do know they're supposed to be really good bottles and I believe if you look on Amazon Oasis make some that are practically identical(or rather,Petsmart probably duped their bottles,as this does tend to happen for some reason).
Bottles won't drip immediately if filled perfectly with no bubbles, but there's no way to prevent a partially empty bottle from dripping at some point. It happens no matter what claims a company makes or how hard you try to stop it,even if you don't notice it,and as long as it is only one or two occasional drops and not constant leaking it isn't a massive problem(as long as it is over an area with deep and absorbent substrate, but over levels it would be problematic).

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
Maybe this is why I don't experience dripping is because I fill water bottle completely full then change water every day & sometimes every other day. So their bottles always stays full.

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
I love the Lix-It aquarium bottle as it is a hard plastic and because of the small and straight down sipper the sipper chewers can't chew it. Most of my bottles that leak are because they have been mauled by a sipper chewer and every one I have that does that has been cured using the aquarium bottle by Lix-It.

Re: Finally a good water bottle company!!!
Depends on the hamster. Every hamster is different. Those who use teeth to bite hard will damage the steel tube and or ball over some time.
If bottle is placed higher sometimes longer lifespan. Most owners dun like to see their beloved stretching anyway.
Anyhow just buy again when it fails. If on budget can experiment with placing it slightly higher.
