Default Freezer in hamster room?

So I've been thinking about where the next hamster is going to live. We're going to be having work done in the lounge over the next year - moving a staircase and decorating, and the only room in the house that won't be affected is a downstairs bedroom which is nice and quiet and away from it all. So I had thought that was a good place for a hamster cage.

But we also have a small freezer in there (no room in the kitchen). It seems quite quiet but I wondered if it would be a problem for a hamster? I could move the freezer somewhere else if necessary but then it would be rather a long way from the kitchen!
