Default Pets at Home or Snowflake woodshavings?

I'm planning to change to Fitch soon but for the time being my hamster's cage really needs cleaning, so I'm wondering whether to get Pets at Home shavings or Snowflake shavings? Any advice is appreciated <3

I would avoid shavings to be honest. The sooner you order Fitch the better. They deliver very quickly so I normally once end up waiting a few days for Fitch. Carefresh Colours in the UK always seems to be dust free, but I don't know if I'm lucky, so that could be an option.

Any brand of aspen wood shavings will work fine until you can get Fitch I know many frown upon shavings, but they can be used just fine, though aren't as comfortable. The softer the shavings, the better they are

My Fitch delivery usually takes 2 to 3 days - sometimes a bit longer if there's a week-end in the way - so you could maybe hang fire on the cage clean a few days. Otherwise it could be ages before you try the Fitch and then be in the same situation again lol. I found it hard to switch as I quite liked the shavings, but I love the Fitch

I use Snowflake or Smart Pet shavings in my show pens as they're both available relatively cheaply and don't seem to have the big pieces that Pets at Home have been getting recentely. It seems to suit my hamsters ok for the time that they're on it but at home they live on Fitch.

Pillow Wad shavings are my favourite, but in a pinch I pick up the Snowflake ones as they're super cheap at Home Bargains. I tried the Pets At Home ones before and they were very itty bitty. I want to move over to Firch as soon as I've figured out somewhere to store the big bag!

Thanks everyone for the advice as it turns out, carefresh was on offer, so I just got that instead I would have waited to get Fitch, but we can't really afford to spend £20 on bedding right now ^^"
