A carrier is a small container used to put a hamster in when going somewhere like a vet or other quick trip. A travel cage is a larger bin that is still smaller than a regular enclosure, but is fine to stay in when on vacation or being petsat

Haha me too! That's 10 new things on my hammy shopping list. So many ideas, not enough room. Time for a 3rd cage and an external playden? Haha. And people say hamsters are cheap pets - not when you actually put effort into looking after them and their wellbeing/happiness. Sorry bank account

They're definitely not cheap by any means!I can't say they're the most expensive pets either,at least compared to ferrets for example which cost a lot more in diet alone

Hamsters are definitely a lot pricier than I originally thought when I got into tbem! Of course, my first hamster was an unexpected rescue, but I was definitely shocked at their care needs! Though amity is right, I know that my rabbit far exceeds the cost of both my hamsters

People look at me wierd for all the stuff Khaleesi has. My neighbours (who have kept hamsters before) think I am mad for having one "large" cage, let alone two for her. Even after I mentionned that one cage is too small by rspca standards, they kept quiet haha.

Please can anyone post a link for the whimzees dog chews that are suitable? Also, if i get some puffed rice, how often can I feed them to her and do I have to cook them or are they like rice crispies?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having lots of toys! In fact it's crazy that they think you have too many. I'll put a link below to the whimzees. For puffed rice, do you mean the rice pops they make for small animals? If so, these do not need to be cooked and should just be fed straight to your hamster
