!!Going to IKEA tomorrow!!
I just found out I'm going to IKEA tomorrow. I've never been and was wondering what good stuff do they have for hamsters? I know about those book holders that you can make into a platform but what else?

Some people have made really good cages out of a Detolf glass storage cabinet, and others have used the Expedit for similar purposes

Re: !!Going to IKEA tomorrow!!
Another Ikea housing idea would be a Billy extension unit, one for a robo or three for a Syrian. There are some shelves which could work as well, but they'd take up more space in a way as they can't be L-shaped cages like Billy extension units can be It would also be less heavy and easier to move than a Detolf or glass tank!

Detolf! If you have £40. If you have £60, detolf and two lack tables to put it on

Other than that - I would just look at things and see what inspiration you have! Some ceramic things can make good little hideouts or sand baths.
The book holders for shelves you mentioned are Knuff magazine rack things. They come in a pack of two I think. There's a little finger hole in the end that needs blocking off really so hammies don't get stuck in it.
Little plantpots can be good on their side for a hide-out and plant pot terracotta bases can be good for under a water bottle to help keep nails short.

Re: !!Going to IKEA tomorrow!!
Thanks to everyone who replied. I'm more looking for hacks & diy than housing as all my hamsters are in large cages currently.

Re: !!Going to IKEA tomorrow!!
I have billy extensions, I've got 2, one for each Hamster.
I love them!
Also have Kallax? (square shelves, 4 block) under each one!
They're great!
Wanted a Detolf but got persuaded otherwise.
