Default How do you stroke your hamster?

I was just wondering if there was a "proper" way to stroke hamsters, like some animals prefer top of the head, some like tummy tickles, is there a certain way you should stroke hammies?

Same here - across the back in a soft smoothing motion. That's if they will sit still enough
