Tilly's birthday
Hello
Not sure when her birthday is but we got here on December 16th when she was around 3 months old so we decided her first birthday will be September 16th,
She's not really interested in any toys, she loves climbing and exploring when out of her cage,
I'm making her a cake for her bday and have bought her lots of treats and hamster snacks, she needs a new ball so I will get her one.
I just wondered as we live near a park and beach, about 10 mins walk away if you thought it was a good idea to take her to the park, not for long as there may be dogs/ seagulls about, maybe let her run around for 10 mins if we sit in a circle and keep a close eye on her, what about if she eats the grass?
I want to take her but unsure about the grass and birds/ dogs?
Has anyone ever took there hamster to a park before?
Thanks
Lydia

Re: Tilly's birthday
Hi Lydia,
I have let Pip out in our garden in a play pen, she loves eating grass and the clover, we have no dogs or cats so the lawn is fairly clean though we do get cats in the garden Pip loves it outside

Re: Tilly's birthday
I would avoid taking Tilly to a public park, you don't know what chemicals/sprays have been used. Plus they'll be dog poo as not all owners clean up after their pets.

Re: Tilly's birthday
I agree that it is better to give her a play pen at home rather than in the public park.
