Default Milo the Vain Explorer! (And a Question)

Hello! Sorry for posting more photos but he's just so cute :P

Milo climbing the roof of his cage, like normal.

Posing

Looking very ginger

Having a go at his treat ball

Doing what he does best

This is the 2cm gap that he managed to escape through! (I had the cage door down for photos and he started peering over so I had to do it up sharpish, only I though he wouldn't be able to get through so I stood and watched him make his bid for freedom, then put him in his ball and back in the cage.)

QUESTION: In regards to handling, I know it's only about 2 weeks I've had him, but I am wondering if this is just Milo's personality with him not wanting to be held. If I open the cage door and put my hand in he'll come sniffing, if I hold out food he'll take it, but he won't go ON my hand. Even when he goes into the ball, I take him out and put my hand under it on my lap so he has to climb on it to get out, he either runs over it or jumps over it! When he's out and about and I attempt to pick him up he just squirms out or jumps He normally has no problems with me stroking him though, so is this just Milo being Milo? He is still rather jumpy as well. I'll keep on trying!

He is gorgeous. It is still early days and he will soon become more settled when out. He sounds typical of a youngster Instead of getting him to sit on your hand try and get him running hand to hand with your fingers forming a little tunnel round his body so he feels them all round him. When he is out do lots of lift and lay down again and gradually extend the time he spend in your hand. I'm sure he will be fine soon and you are making great progress

I've been doing what souffle suggests and Koda is getting along fine. I do lots of pick up and lay downs and although he wiggles a bit sometimes he's been fine with it.
