Default Toys in Fridge?

Was wondering what - if any - of Sweep's toys can go in the fridge? The cup I gave him yesterday doesn't stay cold for long. Was wondering pacificially about his favorite cube? It is meant to be an "edible cube" though he doesn't chew it, and am wondering if it can go in the fridge and if so whether it would stay cold longer than the cup - which literally stayed cold for a few minutes!! Am going to try and find the garden center today and see if I can find a plant pot but otherwise am running out of ideas!

Does Sweep like sand?

I've just given my three a chilled sand bath to cool off in which seems to have gone down well - particularly with Jessie!

There's no reason why most hamster toys couldn't go in the fridge but I'm not sure how long some would stay cool for - to be honest I've never thought to try anything other than their mugs and sand baths so if you do give it a go, let us know how you get on.

Yeah he loves sand! My only concern is putting his sand in ghe fridge means I need to remove it from his cage and then he will pee in his bed how long does the sand stay cold for anyway?

Sand will stay cool for a while depending on how long you have it in the fridge

Have fresh sand in a container in the fridge. Then put it in Sweep's cage for a while.

If you have a couple of cool things you can rotate them - ie one in the cage while one is in the fridge and then swap them. Any kind of ceramic dish or similar would do. Cold sand bath sounds good! Charlie left his nest and sat in his ceramic salt pig all night when it was hot last summer. So something roundish and ceramic goes down well - eg a large mug on it's side or a terracotta plant pot on it's side.

Cold sand bath?! Perfect idea! I'm off to put some sand in the fridge, my two are due a sand change anyway

Thank you! I could kiss you, my two have been struggling all day =[
I've got ceramic mugs in there but they're just so hot & bothered
