Two Roborovski died
Yesterday another Robo; Ylanen was found dead
Earlier that day I saw them both out playing in their cage and they were perfectly fine, Nick said he had seen them out and about in their cage when he got in at 6 from work, but when I went to play with them about 10 last night only one of them was out playing I had a look to see where the other one was and found her dead and half eaten.
I have to admit I feel really quite disheartened by this, and I am now thinking that she could have bullied Paige to death as she was always slightly bigger than Ylanen and Paige.
I really don't know what to do to be honest, I'm not sure if I should keep her as I feel so bad for her being on her own and I also feel that I am not caring for them as best as someone could (which is probably just me). This is a new experience for me as you know - I have never had any Dwarf type hamsters so it is quite upsetting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
UPDATE: Just looked in on Elain and she's in the same way Paige was before she died, she's not breathing properly and looks very ill - it's so sad to see her like this
14:55 Elain didn't make it I am so upset right now

Oh Debs I am so sorry - it is so shocking they looked so happy and healthy last week and no evidence of any squabbles or unrest. They were only babies really so totally unexpected. Goodness knows what it was - one thing for certain it was NOTHING you did - you looked after them brilliantly, they were so tame and chunky, a real credit to your care. It is really bizarre for them to all go so close to each other. I tried calling you but it is ringing out I will try again later tonight. I was planning on coming round tonight too so will give you a call and see if you are up to visitors... Hugs and take care.
Rest in peace little ladies, may you find that Paige has set up a whole host of activites to keep you busy over the bridge.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes these little ones are born with some little weakness that can affect the whole litter and you can lose them all close together. But be assured you gave them a short but HAPPY, loved life which is the most important thing of all. Do not worry as it is the instinct of the others to try to remove a dead one by eating it as they must, particularly females try to avoid contamination of their home. It is the same as the mother eating the placenta to remove all traces from predators etc. My thoughts are with you. RIP little ones

That is so heartbreaking, I'm sorry. You must be devastated right now. Poor little guys...
