Meet Tank

Well I went and did it I got a fourth hamster to add to our hamily, but I couldn't just leave him there in the pet shop any longer.

For almost a month there was a little white Russian Dwarf with red eyes sitting in the pet shop, every time I went in there he was all curled up sleeping. I wondered why no one was taking him home, that wondering was answered when I saw him on the weekend. He has red eyes.

Today I went back to get him specially if he was still there, yep no one had taken him home yet. (No one had taken the two gerbils home yet, we really don't have space for gerbils) The guy who was going to box him asked if we had everything already such as cage, food, bedding etc. We said we were fine we have three others at home, he just gave us an odd look before going "Okay you have three at home." We were asked this so that he would box the hamster last of all, so they spend less time in the box which I found thoughtful.

Then the guy had to go finish what he was doing so a nice lady got the hammy out and popped him in to a box, I asked his age and he's only 11 weeks old. At the checkout the guy who spoke to us first said to lower the price on the hamster, as he had been there so long in the shop already. So that's how we got our fourth.

He is currently settling in our household in the IMAC fantasy with the level taken out, we'll be putting him in to a bin cage over the weekend after a trip to Ikea. In keeping with our oddball names we've named him Tank Oo He is a very shy, timid fellow for the time being, and overly excited as most of the day he has been up exploring every inch of his current home. Chewing on his giant toothbrush. I started to get the larger tooth brushes as the small ones never seem to last. (Yummy of course managed to drag hers in to her bed!)


I wanted to take a shot of his cute little face, but he's more concerned with stuffing it full of food.

Its a dog chew I think they're made of vegetables or something, I found that a lot of people on the forum give their hamsters the toothbrush or the crocodile. I can only find toothbrushes, but they all love them and hoping the bigger size will last longer.
