Fitch bedding-is this any better than Carefresh Naturals and where do you get it from
Hello all,
I was asking whether or not the Fitch Hamster Bedding is better to use for my Campell's Russain Dwarf, I have seen it on videos and wandering if it is any good? Is is better than Carefresh Naturals, Ultra and colours? Also for those of you that use it where do you get it from- I live in the UK so can I get it from a shop or do you have a link that can take me to a trusted website?

I think fitch is better, it's just recycled food grade paper rather than wood pulp & is about the least dusty substrate I've tried & I've had quite a few over the years!
You can get it directly from them here or you can get it from Amazon but you're still buying from the same company there.

Fitch is also used for horses so I am assuming that it is safe for hamsters.

Where have you been lol! ; ) It's probably the most frequently recommended substrate here!

I think I might get the 10kg bag as it is best for the value and then it can last for several cage cleanings.

Re: Fitch bedding-is this any better than Carefresh Naturals and where do you get it
I've tried both Fitch and Carefresh and I definitely prefer Fitch.
For me, with more than one hamster, it worked out that buying Fitch was more cost effective but not only that it's less dusty than Carefresh and there's no strange smell that you might notice with the Carefresh Natural.
My Chinese hamsters love it! It's soft enough for them to make their nests out of but it can also support tunnelling.

Just to let you know, they now sell 1kg bags which is goodnif you are unsure and want to try it!
