Re: Boy Problems
That is a nice Salt pig. The penny Jar is about like the fish bowl I used for Eve's before she filled it with substrate. A thin layer of carefresh might not be a bad idea either. Definitely good options. He's got a mix of paper and aspen right now that seems softer than just the pure shavings, but he's getting so big. Eve too. She's got to be at least 7-8in long at this point though she won't hold still for measurements. Hard to say at this point if everyone's going to outgrow the 8in wheels, but I have a sneaky suspicion Pal and Aurora will. Boris is a small Syrian. I like the idea of the salt pig for the chinchilla sand definitely.

Re: Boy Problems
Didn't realise you had a mix of paper and shavings Just a layer of paper on top then, no need to buy Carefresh specially.

Re: Boy Problems
I haven't changed his bedding in almost a month, I bought straight aspen to replace it, because paper gets expensive, I think the idea of paper on top is a really good one though. I just worry about him getting all scratched up.
