afraid of light?
So something I have noticed is that milo will come out when the lights are off. I'll explain :
So milo does come out and about but usually when I leave my room (at night) for whatever reason or when I come home late both of which when the lights are off. And when I return to my room, of course i turn the lights off to find him somewhere in his cage roaming about and like surprised. lol
Now half the time he will get over the initial shock ( i guess you can call it that) and continue what he was doing. While the other time he will go back to his nest and go back to sleep.
recently he has been doing the second and will keep returning to his nest when he sees the light and i dont know if its because he is afraid of the light or because he just is really tired and wants to go to bed. does this happen to anyone else ?

Re: afraid of light?
Sometimes the light brightness can be too bright. I had a hamster several years ago and she was scared and would run for cover everytime I switched on the light. I started using lower wattage bulbs, and instead of using the main light I would use lamps instead and this really helped and since then I stil do, I've got a couple of dimmer lamps which have 3 settings of light. They're called touch lamps.

oh good to know, although milo has never really run for cover i can see these lights being too bright. Ill try to get a lamp and just use that for light at night as i dont really need that much light to begin with, thanks for the help
