How do they do it?
It's almost 4 weeks since Obi-Ham Kenobi became one with Force (put to sleep) due to her worsening condition with the tumour. Since then we have missed terribly. How does such a small furry ball of cuteness get under our skin and in to our hearts so deeply? Sooo many tears. I haven't even brought myself to write Obi's memorial on here.
However in missing the pitted patter of hammy feet, we decided we couldn't live without a fluff ball in our lives so...
Meet the hamster with no name (yet)
We've had him a couple of days now and he's gorgeous. He is 9 weeks old and so tiny in comparison to Obi who was 14 weeks when we got her. And despite him being the lazy one of the bunch, we were told, he is so fast and loves his wheel.
So I've currently got loo roll in my bra straps so he can get use to my scent (the things they have us doing!) as with being younger he's gonna need a bit more taming than we had to do with Obi. Wish us luck

I know what you mean about getting under your skin. RIP Obi.
Your new boy looks ever so sweet. Is he a chocolate colour with red eyes? I am sure he will be tame in no time.
