Re: New Hamster
A plastic storage box sounds a bit safer than a cardboard one - if it has a lid.

She is very cute and absolutely gorgeous, I believe she is longhaired but I am not quite sure whether it's her texture that makes her seem that she is longhaired.

Re: New Hamster
Female long haired Syrians normally have long tuffs of fur behind their ears, on their hips and by their tail, but it not as noticeable as with males with their long skirts.

Yeah she seems to have like a little bit more fur on her head and around her bottom, she has a bit of tangled fur that would need sorting

Re: New Hamster
A tooth brush (not an electric toothbrush) is what I used on my nephews long haired Syrian to remove bedding and keep his fur untangled.
It also helped him get used to being stroked to without anyone being bitten to as he was a very nervous hamster.

Re: New Hamster
She is so adorable. She does look like she could be long haired in the second picture.
How is she doing today?
