Re: Help!
Pleased to hear he is been retrieved and back home. A height extension or something may be required for the playpen.

Re: Help!
Glad you got him back & he's none the worse for it, probably scared you more than him!
They are so good at getting out of playpens, maybe have a rethink & see if you can make it a bit more escape proof but even the safest play pen needs constant supervision, there are so clever!

Re: Help!
I'm definitely going to be keeping a closer eye! The reason I left him unsupervised in the playpen was to get a camera as he was just so cute! He'd stuffed his pouches full of tissue and food. Would have made a lovely photo had he not scarpered. Maybe that was his plan - look as cute as possible then escape when she goes for the camera. Clever boy.

Re: Help!
Oh crumbs they can be such a handful! Willow got loose in my kitchen and spent ages behind the cooker eating goodness knows what food scraps that had dropped down the back, and was none the worse for it. As I can't move the cooker myself I just had to lie in wait for her till she sauntered out in her own time! How did ur ham get behind the cupboards? Lucky he wanted to hide and munch not escape the kitchen as kitchens have holes to the outside thru pipes and stuff. Willow was the sort of ham who just had to free range so I spent hours plugging gaps although she was really only meant to free range in my bedroom which is hamster proof. She wasn't happy in the 9 foot by 4 playpen I built for her till she had a ramp out, then she played in it loads, climbing in and out when she wanted

Re: Help!
I'm glad it's not just me! There was a tiny gap in the corner where the boards met. He emptied his pouches first to squeeze through . I think he has quite an adventurous personality. He doesn't seem scared of anything, and he's had a lot of changes recently. I think he sounds like your Willow. An explorer!
Mind you, the first thing he did when back in his cage was to have a bath in his sand. Clearly the cobwebs didn't feel too good.

Re: Help!
So relieved he's safe and sound. I can bet your heart jumped realising where he was, an adventure for him,
they can be so sneaky and quick.
