Re: Help please
That's a good idea, I'll get onto it! I am taking it very slowly with Ivy, on the days she really appears not to want to come out I leave her be and give her her treats in situ so to speak. I am a bit wary of stressing her. We'll get there, as you say they are all different and that's what makes them so beautiful.

Re: Help please
Beautiful pics of Ivy.
It took months for me and Twinkle to bond but, when we did it was so worth the wait. With each hammy I've had, they've been so different but that's what I love about them. It would be very boring if every ham was the same.
Please do set up a thread for Ivy, it'll be great to follow her progress.

Re: Help please
I'm sorry for your loss...
In all honesty dealing with the loss of a pet is never easy. And there aren't guaranteed steps to take to cope with a passing.
What I personally do, is I like to focus on my other animals and then get a new pet. Keep in mind, you are not replacing that pet, you are simply filling a hole in your heart.
I hope this helped!

Re: Help please
Thank you Happy Hamsters! It does help. In fact, the people on here were wonderful when my baby went - I was so unprepared for how bad it was going to make me feel but I was given so much support for which I am so grateful. I now have little Ivy who, as you say, will never replace Mrs Warboys, but is a lovely new friend and we are having fun getting to know one another. I see you have just joined this forum - enjoy! They are a brilliant bunch.

Re: Help please
Im really sorry for your loss, I honestly think I would feel the same way! I don't know what I would do without my little girl. I only joined this forum today but I can see how supportive everyone is and I intend to be the same way!
