I think everyone has a heart ham, I have two! Winston, who is also a black banded! My boyfriend got me him for our 2 year anniversary. I'm not exactly sure why he feels so special to me, but he was the one who brought me to this forum, and found my new love for Syrians, even though I've had them before. I also had a scare with him when the vet said he had Cushing's Disease, which wasn't a life sentence, but their health and well being declines slowly and eventually end up in a really bad way and have to be put to sleep. It would have made his life shorter, but as time went on, he didn't get any worse, so I don't think he has Cushings. It really did break my heart when I was told he did though.
Abe is also a heart ham, He is from my first litter from me becoming a hobby breeder (and the only one I've had so far). He was a very weak, slow developing little boy since birth, and he needed a lot of hand feedings. The litter I had was difficult, and only 2 out of 10 survived. I was always worried about Abe, that he wouldn't pull through. But he has, and now he's a strong, still little man. He's very special to me too. I love them all so much though, they all are special in their own way
