It's so hard waiting for them to wake up!
It's only three o'clock in the afternoon, so I still have about 5 hours before Bernie wakes. It's just so hard waiting for them to wake! I want to love on him and play with him so much lol.

It's nearly 9PM here but my little Sweep has been asleep the past 2 hours! He plays a lot during the day too!

Re: It's so hard waiting for them to wake up!
I had one that never seemed to be up before I went to bed! And I've never exactly gone to bed that early ... I'm sure they would wait til I went to bed before deciding to get up!

😃
I work 12 hour shifts so when I get home, I'm tired but wait for Tilly to get up, luckily most of the time she's up before 10pm but there has been the odd day wheb I've had to wake her,
It's ok when I'm not working the next day as I don't mind waiting for her and can stay up till about 2am playing with her,
Even if I'm tired I can't go to bed without seeing her😃 And if I get up in the night for the toilet/ drink I always go and check on her

I do that. Sweep's cage is other end of the room to me, and he's near the door. So anytime I get up I check on him. I used to think in the space of you going to bed and waking up that they would forget you (I was only a kid then!) so used to remind them everytime I saw them!

We're just servants to them most of the time! Likr Ricky Gervais says 'dogs have owners and cats have staff' but hamsters have staff in this case.

Re: It's so hard waiting for them to wake up!
By the sounds of it my little one is an early bird! She always wakes between 5 and 7 for a mad couple of hours and fuss and then is back asleep by the time I go to bed at 11! Then tends to wake up around 2ish to carry on with her hammy business

Re: It's so hard waiting for them to wake up!
I know what you mean its so hard waiting for milo to wake up. He usually gets up around 7-10 pm and sometimes in the day but not often. Just yesterday i tried staying up to see him before i went to bed but ended up falling asleep. On the bright side i woke up to see him at like 2 am but yea it can be such a struggle to stay up and watch my hammy. I find that milo wakes up earlier if the lights are out in the room so maybe that can help? lol
