Default i dropped my hamster! :(

hi. I dropped my hamster, while carrying him standing up, i feel so bad! he ran off my hands too fast

it was quite high, about 4 feet, onto soft carpet though.

I put him straight back into his cage, he seems fine, was climbing up his cage, hanging off the ceiling etc as he normally likes to do, so makes me think he is fine.

I feel so bad, def gunna be more careful from now on. His name is Max

You are not the first and won't be the last to drop a hamster. I'm glad to hear he seems fine though but keep a close eye on him for any signs og swelling, lameness etc.
They are certainly very wiggly and fast so best to take the cage to a low area or on the floor or bed before you take him out. Always hold him low down so that if he does jump he does not fall too far.
Welcome to the forum and looking forward to meeting your little Max
