Default Toy question

I just bought my hammy a toy called the knot nibbler (mini) and I was wondering what the hammy experts thought. It is by Kaytee, which I know isn't the most reliable brand, but it's all natrual and wooden. I got it from a pretty reliable pet store. It's basically a wooden kind of ball made out of sticks, with a wood smaller ball in the middle. My only concern is price and size. It was pretty cheap and it is almost as big as him Is this okay?

P.S. The sticks come apart to make new toys, is this safe?

The wood should be ok to chew but I'd be a bit worried about the smaller pieces of wood poking my ham in the eye or pouch especially if they got chewed or snapped & might be sharp but I'm only going by the photo never having seen one for real so it might be safer than it looks.

Okay, thanks. Henri basically just chews one stick because I put a treat inside it, but now I realize that the end of one stick is almost the size of his mouth! I put it in the corner or hang it from the celiling, but all he ever chews is that one stick. Silly hams!!!!
