Taming is great !!
So hello everyone , I just wanted to do a little update on Minnie and ask a few questions too ! So Minnie is doing terrific she now sits on my hand and I am able to stroke her ! And I was thinking how scared I was when I first got her, I was literally scared to death of her after she gave me a little nip ! Typical me !
Anyway I've got a few questions and hope you you won't mind answering them!
Since I only joined HC a few weeks ago , I'm not very familiar with the settings .
I just wanted to ask how do you guys insert those big huge pictures in your threads , I wanted to do one for Minnie . Or if you can ( you totally don't have to ) but a tutorial kind of thingy about all the settings ?? I would really appreciate it ! Happy Christmas ( I'm a bit early aren't I ? )

Re: Taming is great !!
Great to hear things are going so well with Minnie now
If you want to insert an image you need to upload it to a hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr (there are others but I can never remember them!) first then you just copy the link into your post here.

Re: Taming is great !!
I use photobucket. Photobucket.com. You register to open an account then upload your photos from your computer. They will need resizing for the forum after upload or they can be too big and stretch the forum boxes. To do this, you click on one of your uploaded photos to open it. There is a transparent menu bar near the top right of the photo if you move your mouse there. Select edit. Wait a moment while the editing options come up, then select resize. In the box with numbers in, change the left hand box to 700 and the right hand box will change size automatically. Click apply and then save. That one will be the version to use. On the right hand side are four boxes for links, click on the bottom one and you'll see 'copied' flash in yellow. Then on here, click on the blue globe icon at the top of the message box, delete the http that appears and paste your link, then Ok. A link will appear in your message. After you 'submit' the message it will appear as a photo.
You will end up with two copies of each picture on photobucket - the original and the resized one. You can tell which is which by looking at the file name at the bottom. The resized ones tend to have a file name that is a string of numbers and letters.
Great that the taming is going well! I remember that feeling. You have broken a barrier now.

Re: Taming is great !!
Once I've copied the image link from photobucket I just paste it straight into the post, it has all the code already so you don't need the blue globe link step, just makes things a bit quicker & more straightforward, there is an insert image icon too but I've never found I need that either, I like short cuts!
