So I plan to make a hamster-sized portion of human food like a hotdog (not with actual sausage obviously hehe) or pizza quite soon, so the quicker the answer, the better but I want to know if I can use white bread? Not alot, a piece about the size of a £2 or 50p coin. I heard that you can't use salted bread but the bread I have has 0.49g of salt per slice.
Just wondering if it is safe to use! x
P.S. I would toast the bread in the oven to prevent it from getting stuck in the hamster's pouch
You can make a passable bread out of whole meal flour, water, a little oil and quick action yeast. It wouldn't be quite like what you're used to from the bakery but it's ok! Or you can make flatbreads from flour, water and oil, just make a dough and roll it out and cook in a hot pan for a couple of mins. My hams LOVE a bit of flatbread when we have them!
