went to pound land today kind of wished I had not I got two bridges, willow sticks, a crinkle tube and two sweet corn treat thiggys.
Pets at home was next door so I went to get dog food, you can guess what I really got.
I was in Poundland today and I was horrified to see that the hamster exercise balls they are selling are only about 4 inches/13cm in diameter. This is way too small for even the smallest dwarf hamster and they come with no instructions or safety warnings. Nothing about how long to leave the hamster in there or anything. I feel really upset at the thought of children who wouldn’t know any better cramming full size Syrian hamsters into these balls. It would be awful for the hamster. If hamsters run with their backs curved in a ball or in a wheel that is too small they can get serious spine damage. I’m going to find out who regulates the sale of Pet Accessories in the UK and try to get them withdrawn and I’ll also complain to Poundland. Please please spread the word about these balls being unsafe and unsuitable.
