Wink Help me convince my mum! >~<

Helloooo! So, basically, I'm in the situation of wanting another hamster. Currently, I have one male Syrian, 5 female fancy mice and a male dog.. I've asked for rats which my mum fully rejected as she hates them.. (HOW?!) She also rejected a rabbit as we all hate the thought of an outdoor rabbit being killed by foxes (very common around here..) and she says a house rabbit wouldnt work while we are redecorating.. She's also rejected reptiles such as snakes..I'm paid Friday and I'm doing a big pet supplies shop ready to move my current hamster into a Detolf! Finally! And I know I'm probably going to leave the store with an adopted hamster. (There are 0 breeders or adoption places around here, the only one is P@H unfortunatly..) I've used the making my own money reasoning and that so far I have looked after all my pets brilliantly, I'm not sure what else I can say.. I need another furry friend guys!

I..have no ideea really. But if it helps, the way i convinced my mom for a cat, i placed a wee 7 week old kitty in her arms. You can't say no to fluffyness once you see/hold them.

Maybe take her with you?

Definitely don't just bring one home without her approval. Have you asked her what her reasoning is for saying no? You can't really address anything until you know what her problem with it is.

She says we have too many animals as it is and I can have another when one passes away. It's so hard seeing their little faces though, I want to take one home everytime!

I understand that feeling completely! You do have a number of animals that I personally would consider on the large side though I know many people keep more quite happily. I think if you quantify how much extra work/time/money another ham would be and show your mum that you have all that to give then it might help? Like twice the food, twice the bedding, twice the time to clean cages and handle them etc. add all that up and show your mum you've really thought about it and can manage it okay.
