Gizmo my syrian seems to do alot of digging underneath his house & potty etc, is there anyway I can get him to stop this or put something else in his cage to get him to stop? I understand that its probably natural behaviour for him but he just makes such a mess!
no, there's nothing really that you can do. If you're using shavings you can try switching to carefresh as it doesn't make as much mess. Other than that you could try wrapping something around the cage or trying a plastic cage.
You could distract him with a new toy or the next time you clean him out - rearrange his house a bit. They sometimes get bored of doing it.
