Oh how could I forget the dreaded Vet Fund!

Mine sits at £750 sometimes more, never if I can help it less

But for one hamster I would try to save maybe £5 per month giving £60 in a year. This should happily cover you for most medications and consultations for routine things such as teeth grinding and nail clipping. Surgery can get very expensive...

I can go to the PDSA if I want but they diagnosed Paddy with a kidney infection, not a tumour, so I would rather stick with my normal vet - expensive though it can be thats part of pet ownership! :P

Yes, the vet fund is essential unless you know you can afford the vet bills if they come up. Put it somewhere you know you won't be able to touch it unless in hammy emergencies!
