We gave Yummy some temperary toys to try and keep her occupied, even a temperary sand bath which is a china bowl. My partner gave her a spoon to chew on, so far that has been a good distraction to keep her from chewing on the mesh. We will see how long that lasts.

Yummy is one intelligent hamster. I pointed out she was sleeping by her temperary sand bowl without nesting material. She woke up to look at me bleary eyed, when I turned my back she had grabbed some nesting and put it in her new sleeping place. Oo I thought she would have only understood Dutch, but she seems to know English too.

Aww Yummy is really pretty. I love her colouring and she's certainly becoming a little character as well. I like the new homes as well x

Thank you. We spent our easter sunday making the bin cages for all our hammies, the two dwarves are settled in nicely and Yummy is all hyper. Still trying out ways to stop her chewing on the mesh, she also likes to climb it and do her best spider man impression.

She only chews on the mesh when we are in the room, when we go to bed she is in her wheel all night.

She is beautiful, I never see coloring like that in pet stores. I'm curious, is there a story behind her name? I used to have a pet rat named Yummy.

She was one of a kind when we found her, never knew she would be so much trouble though. Two months ago she was spayed due to pyometra, her scar is a little bumpy. My OH named her if I recall his words were, "Yummy is her name, I already had it in my head five seconds after seeing her. Its like Yumi only with an extra m and an y instead of i."
