Have you tried the cardboard through the bars? I know it's helped Twinkle in the past, I make sure it's really thick cardboard, twinkle would spend a few minutes trying to pull it out but, I make sure it's jammed and this annoys her and gives up.
I found that after a while I managed to ignore it quite easily but, at first it did make me grind my own teeth.

Knowing Yummy she would manage to chew cardboard in a matter of minutes. There are wooden chews in the places where she chews the bars, but now she uses those to sit on to chew the bars. We put lemon juice on the bars and she just chewed all the more, so now we just ignore her until she stops chewing then I go to get her out.

I've increased her ball time to about an hour now, that tires her out enough that she goes back to bed instead of chewing on the bars. She'll sleep for a few hours to get up again, long as she's not chewing she comes out. Its a long process of teaching her chewing bars gets her nothing, and its slowly starting to work.

Havent read the whole thread. Erinsanimals on youtube does a video about bar chewing.

It can become a habit. Could you put her in a bin cage for a while somshe can get out of the habit?

You're getting there Blue, it was a slow process with mine too but, ignoring them is the best way as they don't like being ignored. I found it hard at first but, I stuck to it. Every so often Twinkle will chew the bars as if to test me but, I ignore till she stops. I'll make a fuss of her and give delicious treats when she's good.

She used to be in two connected bin cages but once we put them side by side we had to cut in a new hole and fill up the old one, she managed to get out twice and the second time she was under the floor for a whole night. She has been in a barred cage for about two months now, so far hasn't escaped at all so I at least know its escape proof.

She is slowly learning chewing gets her no where, but she has now begun to monkey bar. Such a troublesome ball of fluff I have xD

HELP! Yummy has pus coming from her vulva again, and it smells terrible. She has been up all night and all this morning, has only just gone to bed at 12pm. Vet isn't open until tomorrow x.x

Oh dear BRD, that doesn't sound good. Is there an emergency facility anywhere? She probably needs antibiotics right away. I suggest you do an "emergency" thread in the healthcare forum to get attention but I suspect the answer will be the same. You could try giving her a small amount of natural honey (not commercial preferably which is heat treated-- something from a local beekeeper) which has natural antibiotics in it but I suspect she needs more that that. So sorry. Praying for her. xx

Not that I can find on their facebook or website, we got some honey though its commercial. She even screeched at me when I went to touch her, rolled on to her back and bared her teeth. Something she's never done before, she's in bed but still scratching around not sleeping.

Try anywhere. The only emergency here on Sunday's is the vet college.
