Nuts. Well, when was the last time you saw her? Is it possible that the door was open at some point or that she could have squeezed underneath and so is in a different room by now? Holes or vents she could get through?

No, it wasn't open - I can't have my door open so that my cat doesn't eat my hamsters.

I figured out how she got out, she climbed up the play-logs to get through the gap in the back (I didn't realise there was a gap back there). I've set some traps and put some water out, and her wheel next to my bed so that if I hear her in the night I can tempt her into the trap with a sunflower seed (even when there are seeds around, she'll always run up to me if I have a sunflower seed).

I've also made a little climbable thingy with clothes on the off chance she tries to go back to her cage.

I'm pretty sure that my room does not have a vent or any holes.

Did the substrate fall out? Just kidding don't panic about your hamster, 9/10 they find somewhere dark, in beds, under drawers, holes in the wall etc. I would only have food in one area, get the favourite food, some smelly food is good, take a PIC on your phone so you remember what the pile looked like, usually they take a good wack away with them.

Wait till it starts to get dark, only have a lamp on so its not to bright, quite often they will just wander about along the edges of walls, beds , units etc so keep the skirtings clear except for traps or houses they can investigate.

Watch and wait, if no joy and you need bed don't stress, go to bed. In the morning check the pile, if its taken food then be reassured its still alive, if you don't catch soda the next night chances are it's fine, just repeat the same process till you catch him/her, its just a waiting game, don't work your self up, every hamster that went walkies I've got back thankfully.

Don't plug any holes up in case that's where soda is hiding. Where do you know is dark? Sometimes dark with a draught atrracts them

All the best
Scott

There are a few places under furniture. I'll try to find something smelly that hamsters can eat. If can't find her by tomorrow I might order some humane mouse traps.

Not good news. She may be under the floorboards, and I shone a torch down there and saw a little red tray which could be poison I'll put some food above the floorboards.
