Nyx Hamster Rescue - Now 'Little Bears'
Most of you will know that I run a hamster rescue in Cardiff, South Wales. I thought it would be nice to make a thread for the rescue hamsters as I don't always have a name to introduce them in their own thread at first.
At the moment, there is one hamster up for adoption (Cupcake), plus two that are reserved (Gwen and Constance), waiting for their new owners to get them suitable cage, hopefully. There is also Athos who is currently not available due to his possible allergies.
Today a new rescue arrived. Her owner no longer felt that she could give her the attention she needed, and she will get plenty of attention here.
There is another hamster that is due to arrive over the next couple of days as well, I have been told that she is a biter, but I'll wait and see for myself.

Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue
She is a beautiful hamster. I hope the potential owners take your advice and seek great cages, I definitely know that it can be a struggle to convince people.
I look forward to seeing how this progresses.

Absolutely beautiful.
Fantastic idea to create a thread for your rescues.
Amazing work as always SinNyx!

Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue
@LavoChain, it is a worry that they won't, however one said they have already ordered an Alaska so that is great. Unfortunately the other person that reserved a hamster has not replied. They said their cage budget was £25, so I recommended a bin cage and mentioned that they need to be of a certain size, to which I haven't had a reply. I'm hoping they do take my advice, but if not, it won't be hard to find another home for Gwen.
I will definitely make a fuss of her, but she is a little on the skittish side right now. I look forward to her settling in so that I can see how she is with handling.
@Bec, thank you

Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue
I just love her coloring SinNyx! I don't think she'll be hard to place once you've settled her down.

Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue
@DrKMck, she's beautiful, isn't she?
@Piebald, she is!
@herbi7, she is a dove banded I believe. Though dove is very similar to mink, and I think minks have black eyes, buy doves have red/ruby eyes.
I've had a new rescue arrive tonight. For anyone that remembers, the two dwarves I took on two months ago, Forrest and Gump...well, she is from the same person. She decided, after getting more ferrets, she had no time for her.
She is very vocal and quite scared. She has been screaming at me, so I'm definitely going to have to let her settle down.
