Nice to see happy Hamsters enjoying life. Just a FYI Minks also have red eyes but as they mature they often get very deep dark red and look almost black. Mink is a combo of Cinnamon + Cream + Umbrous. I hope your three wise Hamsters get wonderful furever homes soon.

Constance is going to her forever home tomorrow, if all goes to plan. She will be living in an Alaska. I'm going to missmher...

So, the two new girls are called Peekaboo and Dottie. This morning I put my hand in Dottie's cage for her to know who I was, and it was the first time she hadn't made any noises. She didn't attempt to bite either and was just very curious.

That is such a beautiful photo of Dottie, good to hear she's making progress & congrats on finding a good home for Constance too, I'm sure you will miss her.

I do get really attached. I love every hamster that comes through the door, especially when I watch them grow up from being young pups

@cypher, I am pretty please with Dottie's progress. I was expecting her to really dislike people and still be making noises at anyone that comes close....however....I have tried to handle her this morning. Even though it only lasted a few seconds, it was a positive sign. She did jump from my hand back into the cage, so I may try handling her on the floor later instead.

@Bec, I'm looking forward to her going to a new home. It's sad to see them go, but it's good to know that she will be going to a good home and will be well looked after.

I'll try and post more pictures of Dottie and Peekaboo later

I guess it depends a lot on there history but every little step forward with rescue hams must be very rewarding both for you & them!
