Exclamation GWYNN has escaped!!!! Please help!!

GWYNN has escaped, and I don't know how long she had been out, I heard something under my bed and she darted out right under my foot. I tried to get her and she ran into my closet, this chase ensued around my room for almost 30 minutes. I've officially had the heart attack of my life. By the way a big personal update coming, watch the threads. I have captured her and put her in her nest, where she released cheek pouches that must have been almost as big as her combined. She had plastic pieces and even an entire Starburst in her mouth!! I'm super worried about her and she has been since put into the carrier bin because I don't know if I put her in her cage how she got out. PLEASE HELP!

I just had a Russian Campbell dwarf who mysteriously escaped his big and super high bin cage. I found him right away on a box near the bin. I have no idea how he got out? There is no possible way he could have escaped. I leave the lid off even now because I know he can't get out. I try to keep the lid on but I know it's not necessary. But something happened to him that one morning that I can't explain. I had a thread on this about a month ago.

I know people will think I'm crazy saying a ghost got him out but I wonder if that's possible? He hasn't ever tried to escape, I've never seen him attempting to escape. I examined every inch of his bin for holes and I ruled out the wheel and the water bottle being a means of escape and there was no leverage on either one.

I hope you find an explainable way he espaced though soon so you don't have to buy a new cage. Koala is still in the same bin and hasn't disappeared since that one time. Luckily I found him in about 3 minutes and his feet never touched the floor.

I wonder if you should take yours to the vet? Hope he doesn't have an scratches in this cheek pouches or try to digest anything? That's too bad! Hope you find the reason soon and that he isn't injured!

Gwynn is getting a new cage next pay anyway, I'm thinking about tanking both of them. No matter what tips I follow aurora/Sriracha won't stop chewing the bars of her cage, and Gwynn is chewing all plastic in sight... this *cant* happen again. There are two cats in the house and 6 dogs who come over for visits, and if she gets out of the room, none of these other animals are permitted in the room except for calypso who is allowed in the room, on the bed under strict supervision, she is never left alone cause she is so old, and she doesn't pose a threat to these guys anyway. I can't figure out how she got out. That critter trail is rock solid

Glad your upgrading as she was living in a Critter Trail. Gwenn and your other hamsters will be very happy! Hope you can do this quickly!

I'd maybe take her in for an exam? Just to be safe. I don't know how expensive that would be but if you think this could be harmful a vet trip might ease your mind

We are holding off on the vet for now. She looks fine, the only thing is I think she has diarrhea. I don't know if that's what I'm seeing or not. We have gotten her a bin cage, same as what tiggs had, exact same bin, and I looked in, the bedding is shallow for now so I can keep an eye on things, and it looked like someone had spilled a drop or two of coffee in the cage. But there are normal poops in there too. So I don't know what has happened first... advice?
Went on a haul for supplies. Totally unexpected haul with a friend, will post pics later. Got hazel hamster food and Charlie chinchilla food, tiny friends farm food for all animals. Is the hazel hamster safe for sterling and my other little girl? Would it be okay to give that one food to all of the hamsters? Got lots of chews. Also got bedding.
