Re: The wait is finally over. Meet.....
Thankyou
He keeps going into his willow tunnel and sleeping there, i really don't want him to just because of peeing etc, theres barely any substrate under it. I dont know whether its best to remove the tunnel now while he's still getting used to his surroundings or give him a couple of days to settle in and then remove it?

Re: The wait is finally over. Meet.....
If you want to remove it, I would say remove it now. If you leave it for a few days and he chooses to have it as his bed, you will be taking his bed away. When he has settled and made is bed, then put it back to see if he will just walk through it and not sleep in it.

They look really great in a very dark room. My ones do when I turn the tv and all lights off.

Re: The wait is finally over. Meet.....
Thats the one Skeever
Squibbles has finally found the shelf i made him. He nearly had a fall and my heart started going BOOM BOOM BOOM! Where the lolly sticks are at the front of the shelf theres about a 2inch gap to the glass door. Well squibbles decided to lean over the lolly stick 'fence' with his front paws (are they called paws?!) on the glass. Well he obviously couldnt grip onto the glass so his front half started slipping doooooown, while his back half stayed behind the lolly fence he managed to get himself sorted eventually but i had a mini panic attack and were about to stick my hand in to help him! Im telling ya its worse than when my boys were newborns! Will need to make an extending platform or something in the morning.
You can just about make out squibbles on his wheel in the pic

Re: The wait is finally over. Meet.....
Looks like he needs a balcony on the shelf then. I can just make him out on the wheel. The viv looks realy good with the red led.s. He will settle in a couple of days and it looks like he will be really happy there.

Re: The wait is finally over. Meet.....
He already seems pretty settled. Keeps coming to the glass to have a nosey and isn't really spooked by loud noises. Im really not impressed with the wheel though, it seems to be getting louder and louder, like a rattling when he runs on it as though there's something loose. It was pretty much silent at first. Not sure what's going on with it

Re: The wait is finally over. Meet.....
Could the shaft be working loose. Are there any bearings for the shaft that can be rattling. I would investigate the wheel as a precaution, because you dont want it to fall to bits in the middle of the night while he is running on it.
