Kyrillion ive only just read your post, the millet and corn is still in his cage but it doesnt look like its been touched last night. Ive just removed the egg and more of it has been ate, there's still some left and i didnt put a lot in to begin with but at least he's ate some. Also the pile of food mix has gone down, from what i can see the majority of the bits that are left are the big clumpy red and brown pellet type things. The monkey nut has also gone. Squibbles has also made his nest at the side of the food pile which im happy about, although he's turned the plant pot round so the bottom of it is facing me and i cant see in without disturbing him to see if any food is stored there.

Im going to buy a proper dish for him to see if it helps me keep track of the food he's having. Im thinking he could have just been busy exploring his new cage the 1st couple of days so not really interested in eating?

I'm glad he's been eating his egg and has finally made a start moving stuff out of his food dish

Ill try him with some tonight. Ive also put in one of those small tubs of ham safe seeds/grass that i were growing. He has gone mad for it! Definitely his favourite food so far.

Ooh how did I miss this post?! Lost track of the days. He is gorgeous and love the red eyes (this is coming from a redhead - I always wanted eyes to match). Only joking. Ooh where did you get the millet? He is certainly having a good explore of your lovely cage set up.

Most pet stores sell millet in the bird section for cheap

And yes he is gorgeous and snuggly and very friendly. I wanted another baby but Squibbles is my substitute until we get the extension in a few years

I might try the ham safe grass as well. Just got to find something to put it in and get the seeds.

Squibbles is adorable! Not helping with the *I want a new baby ham* cravings I'm having, there is one who looks a lot like Squibbles in my local pet shop and your pictures are so gorgeous it makes me want to rush out and snap her up!
