Other ways to bath my hammy?
Hey everyone (:
All three of my hams have their own sand bath, Gizmo loves his! Snowy more or less uses it as a toilet and Gimli liked hers too but after I gave it to her I noticed her itching a lot all over her body, once I removed the bath the itching seemed to stop as far as I can tell. But she's looking a little greasy now and I was wondering if there was any other way to get her nice and clean?
Also, is it okay to leave the baths in all the time? I only ever take them out to change the sand and leave then just leave it in their cage.
Snowy is also looking like she's in need of a bath but she uses hers a toilet. Oh and they are dwarf hamsters if that helps.
Thanks a lot in advance (:

Its fine to leave the baths in the cage all the time
I'd leave Gimli for now, I've never heard of alternatives except for different types of sand and in time hopefully she'll learn to keep herself nice and clean without the sand

Re: Other ways to bath my hammy?
I wonder if you put another sand bath in if she would use the one as a toilet and the new one as a bath?
