Great advice as ever, Thin Lizzy. I've slowly been adapting her cage and I've made some arrangements which include ramps so that she doesn't have to do any climbing at all now. Do you all think I should take out her wheel? Other than her leg she's in pretty good spirits. Last night she was delightfully soppy and she was playing for over an hour.

Thank you Cypher, Cinammon Bear and Freyashamsters - all your input is invaluable xx

Aw what a fantastic little lady ham! Hope her leg isn't causing too much trouble, think making her surroundings as easy as possible is best. Glad she seems in good spirits!

Seeing her picture just reminded me of the rescue ham weve just adopted...Pluto!

I did remove the wheel, but included it with out of cage time. But, you know your little princess best.

I'll give this a think over the next few days and see how she is. Thanks everyone.

And Bec, I'm in love with Pluto! X

I would try to let her guide you regarding the wheel, if she seems able to use it without pain or discomfort & still enjoys it I'd let her have it at least for some of the time, if the problem with her leg was something that would heal with time & rest I would remove the wheel but as it sounds as though it may well be a permanent loss of feeling then I'm not sure her keeping it would do any harm, I'm sure you know her well enough to judge & she always gets the best of care.
