Default Frustrated- new cage arrived broken :(

I ordered a Marchioro Goran from Dr. Fosters Smith because it's supposed to be packaged better than Amazon. The base arrived broken.

It/s a corner piece broken off. For $118 it needs to be in perfect condition. I'm going to return it and get a tank for Gizmo. The Petco $1/gallon sale is still going on. So only Wicket is lucky enough to get that cage. lol

Here is the crack (just like what happened with the Amazon one except it was a much bigger chunk broken off):

That's quite a chunk broken off - such a shame. Like you say, paying that amount for the cage you expect it to be in good condition upon arrival. At least the tank sale is still going on.

This exact thing happened to me today too. I ordered a huge glass/wire terrarium from ZooPlus and it was delivered with one whole side of it completely smashed in. They're sending me a new one and they've told me I can dispose of the old one as I see fit. Hopefully the second one will be in okay condition but I'm not holding my breath.

Really sorry to see that your cage has suffered the same fate. Hope your new tank works out for you!

Scooby, yeah it has a missing chunk as well as the one that's there and a long crack. I agree, thankful for the sale. Maybe it's a good thing, cause Gizmo was chewing the bars last night wanting to get to Penny. They both wanted to visit each other even though she wasn't in heat. lol

Aww Helen sorry that happened to you too! It's so disappointing to have to wait for it to arrive and then can't use it. I hope your replacement is perfect! And thanks!
