Your Meisha was so lovely. You never say bye to a Shepherd - they are always with you in your heart. Our cat Furrarri was just like yours too

Thank you Souffle - I sure miss my girlie, I would love to own another German Shepherd some day, and a black and white cat of course! I think I will stick to my hamsters and Leo for now though

I would love to dedicate this post of the day to Ruby.
My parents brought Ruby home for me as a surprise as I was getting over the loss of another pet and not expecting it. She was a beautiful red and black eyed cream banded girl, and so small when she came here, though she always remained very small.
It was a struggle with Ruby as she was very cage aggressive and would bite a lot...my parents then bought me Judas, from a breeder, although I had of course not given up on Ruby.
It took two months to hand tame Ruby - every day I would wear gloves to show her that biting wouldn't make me put her down, and eventually, I went from one glove to none...from that say she spend most of her time with me, whether on my shoulders or in my arms when walking around, or simply sitting on my as I was on my laptop.
Ruby meant a lot to me and she showed me to never give up on a hamster...sadly, my lovely little girl was taken far too young. I woke up one morning and found her at the door on the bottom of her cage, she was breathing slowly and very weak...I held her wrapped next to me all day, it was a Sunday morning and my the afternoon, she passed in my arms. I would of given anything to not see her suffer so, I never knew what was wrong, she remained lifeless while I tried to get her to drink and feed her, nothing I do could
make her perk up...

Even though it has been a long time, I still miss her.

Aw, so sad to lose a little one so young. Ruby sounded very special, and could tell you meant everything to her. She is beautiful, and is playing at peace...with all our little ones who have passed. x

I think Ruby really was my inspiration to take on rescue hamsters, I just think that if I did not have her, maybe she would of ended up with someone that would of just dumped her after thinking she was 'aggressive'.

I am glad people are liking my thread of the month though, I was worried that it would be boring for people!
