Default Aisling's loose

So woke up today to the sound of cats scratching at my door and a little white streak coming back under it. Looked at Aisling's cage, and it appears she knocked her wheel over, climbed up it, and pushed her way ou past the home made lid. So now she's loose in my bedroom, admittedly a better place to be loose than most as it is rat proof, and now that I've blocked beneath the door shes stuck here. I propped the lid up as a ladder of sorts, now its just a waiting game to see if she'll put herslf back in or if I need to do something more proactive.

A bucket trap maybe? Get a reasonably deep bucket that she won't be able to jump out of, pad the bottom with substrate and make a book-staircase up to the opening of the bucket and put a sheet of paper over the top of the bucket. Put some of her favourite treat leading up the book stairs and a little into the middle o the paper on the top... Hopefully she'll climb up and fall in!

Hope you catch her soon!

Yikes! Is she back yet? Your cats must be crazy by now.

She's still on the loose. She did manage to wiggle out from under the door (only a small part of it has a gap big enough to get out under, the rest has wood blocking it off.) and she got quite the scare from my dog running over to investigate, but I'm actually glad it was him, when we have so many cats, as him I can call off with a simple leave it.

She's still in my bedroom, though, so there's that.

Oh dear - bet she is have a time of her life. Could you tie a favourite treat on a long piece of string and try to ease her out of her hiding place (e.g. sunflower seed, piece of cheese , piece of bread covered with peanut butter). Hope you catch her soon xxx

Remove all furniture/clutter on the ground. Put a towel under your door so she can't escape. She will be there somewhere so listen for scratching, snoring, squeaking or munching!! Then just capture her!

I agree about using a towel or blanket to block the door. That's how I caught my escapee. When she went to dive under I just wrapped her up. Good luck.
