A measuring tape would be good?!! I only ask because some plastic storage boxes (or Bin cages) can be much bigger than glass aquariums. Because you are in the US, some of our US member`s would need to advise on which Bin sizes were available to you. If your tank is not roughly 70cm x 45cm (length and width) it will be quite restrictive for a syrian to fully have an enriched environment. So perhaps looking into getting hold of a larger storage Bin and turning it into a bigger cage could be worth while. x
