Hamster confessions

I thought it'd be fun to have a hamster confessions thread where people post confessions about their hamsters/themselves. It can be anything at all, something odd you like to do, something crazy your hamster does, maybe even something embarrassing you used to do when you were new to hamster care.

My confession (probably a bit weird) but I have a bit of OCD over my hamsters cages and my hamsters tend to throw their poo out their bed. I like their cages to look clean so once there is a bit of poo there I'll pick it all out and put in in the bin.

WHen I first started out, I didn't tame anything... I just picked em up . I know MUCH better now! Whos next???

Hm... Okay here's one. It may sound weird, but I love dwarfie smell. :3 You know like the smell of their scent glands? My little Todd has such a cute popcorn-ie smell, I love snuggling him. Is that odd? XD

[Colby and the Dwarfs]

I have three that I can think of!

1: When I got Colby, even though I'd had hamsters, dwarf hamsters, I was PETRIFIED of him. I knew he would bite a chunk out of me and I'd never trust hamsters and I'd need a therapist who wouldn't understand and think I was deranged and hopeless and I'd give up on life and never brush my teeth and use incorrect grammar and I'd sell everything I owned and live in Starbucks and when they kicked me out and I'd live in a box with a mug asking for spare change. That didn't happen.

2: When I take a shower, sometimes I put Colby in his ball and let him run around my bedroom till I get out!

3: Don't tell anyone, but I learned recently that "Dwarfs" isn't a word, it's "Dwarves". I am the Grammar Queen and my username is misspelled. Everybody will you please pretend that I did that on purpose? Pretty please?

And Munch Sloth, don't feel bad! I love Colby Jack smell!!!

Hmm let me think. Each of my three hamsters has their own blanket to play on when they are getting time outside their houses. My first DYI projects ever were custom built treat towers for my two dwarf hamsters Socks and Phoebe's cages (they LOVE them!). Oh and I was pretty afraid of being bitten by my new long haired Syrian hamster Waffles when I first got him. Neither one of my Campbells have ever bitten me (or anyone actually) and being new to Syrians I wasn't sure what to expect,lol. Silly me!
