My new roommate
Hello all,
I got this Syrian today from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria in Virginia in the USA. The cost was $5. Someone had gotten a pair from the store thinking they were same sex and apparently they were not so they dropped them off at the shelter. Mine is estimated to be 3 months old. His name is Lenny but I am thinking of calling him Mow being that I made a documentary film on the sport of lawn mower racing ( Index - On Your Mark, Get Set, MOW! sorry about the shameless self promotion ) If I don't name him Mow maybe it will be Rothko after the painter of the same name. His cage is a 40 gallon aquarium that I got at Petco during their $1 a gallon sale (going on until 1/25/13).

Re: My new roommate
Welcome to you and your ham! Well done on rescuing as well as the really great aquarium (I've been using one myself!) and the nice wheel Those plumbing pipes are really cool too--I have been eyeing them at my local Home Depot every time I go there.

Re: My new roommate
Thanks for the kind words everyone. My Nikon DSLR died a couple of months ago so I am stuck trying to get some shots with a point and shoot. I'm sure sometime next month I'll have a new DSLR and will post more.

Welcome to Hamster Central. Your little guy is adorable and I love his home. Those tanks are a great buy. Looking forward to more pics of this little one.
