Default New member with babies

Hi I'm new here don't really know my way around forums but I have some questions please? I have a 2 week old litter of dwarf pups and I'm quite proud to say after hearing all the horror stories my brood are doin well. Mom anastacia has surprised me what a good little mum but she looks exhausted. I read to separate them at 3 weeks but my kids want to keep a boy and a girl each can I keep mom and daughter in a cage together?

Hi and welcome. I made this in to your own thread.
Your babies should be separated at 4 weeks. Is dad already separated and when did you remove him? If he is in there still you will have another litter on the way. If he was still in when this litter was born you will still have another litter as they mate right after birth!
Depending on the size of this litter you may have to separate them all into groups of boys and girls. The boys can go in with dad and the girls can stay with mum provided there is not another lot in there. Be very careful in sexing them as you do not want any more interbreeding.
You can keep your girl with mum but just be wary of any fighting when the daughter starts to mature.
To make a new thread you click on the brown 'new thread' writing at the top of the board on the left. You will soon get the hang of it!
