I find its best to remove the bottom of the box so it's open to the bedding material below, that way they can dig down a bit to make their nest, also if they pee in there it doesn't soak in to the box.

Yes and for the other person who asked, I'm planning on ripping up toilet paper and putting where the ham's house will be so it's softer. Would that be alright?

Yep, that's fine, just make sure it's not anything fancy that's impregnated with aloe vera, etc.

Thanks! We'll be ordering sometime this week....maybe tonight. I'll be getting all of the supplies in before I go on vacation so that all I need to do afterwards is set everything up and then get my ham.

Oh I do have a question. I'll be using Hazel Hamster food. How much food do you put in the bowl everyday? Or does it tell you on the back?

I'm also hoping so very much that they have robos there! Last time I checked, they didn't But I just adore robos...but if the robos are not there or there are no robos that would be a good match for me, then I'll still be happy with whatever breed I get
